So today I just ordered what I believe to be my 8th or 9th pair of the McGuffey Plain Toe, so I feel immensely qualified to comment. First the negative. . . Clearly I like them a lot, aside from 3 issues in the past. 1) One pair was inexplicably cut tight in the outside toe area and my pinky toes suffered through a lengthy break-in period (I've always ordered 9. 5 M). I managed to survive. 2) On two occasions, the laces were so short that tying them securely was nearly impossible. This is exacerbated by the fact that the style of lace on this shoe seems to find its way loose too easily. The positive. . . It is a super attractive and comfortable shoe that I consider reasonably durable (and I'm pretty tough on shoes). Lastly, the look has a good range, in that it can handle both casual and more formal wear very well. Versatile is perhaps a good descriptor for the McGuffey. Strongly recommend. Good value.

I fell in love with the shoes when I first received them. They're super versatile with different clothing and accessories. However, after having the shoes for 6 months and wearing them less than probably 30 times, they're starting to fall apart. The leather upper is separating from the sides near the area of the shoe where it bends via the fit. Definitely not worth the the price for the wear I've gotten out of them.

This shoe was great! I got them as a gift for my boyfriend who has wide feet. He loved them but they were a bit big so I plan to repurchase them in another size. I also got them as a gift for my dad last year and he is obsessed with them. If you have wide feet, these shoes are perfect!

Very comfortable. Size fits well. I use them as house shoes bc it gets hot in the summer and I was tired of slippers with fur and I didnt want plastic ones due to the squeak on the floors. They are very comfortable

these are so cute and comfortable! the perfect dupe of birkenstocks. i bought some similar off brands last year and they lasted me a good 8 months! hoping these will too & i’m sure they will! the price is perfect for the quality. sizing is accurate, i’m an 8.5 and got the 8-8.5, i only had to adjust one of the straps on the sandals.

Didn’t fit at all! I’ve owned this shoe in a 9 1/2 purchased the same size online. It doesn’t even come close to fitting. See pictures attached. Old shoe versus new shoe. Would like to return if possible. Thank you!

They look like real Birkenstocks! But the foot sole leaves yellow stuff on the bottom of your socks. I got brown which in my opinion, and everyone elses looks real. If you want an even more real birks look i recommend get brown suede!

They don’t even have to be broken in! I got them before honeymoon in costs rica and wore them every single day, thru are good quality comfy and great for walking far or just heading to beach or pool

I am normally a 9 medium but I wound up setting the buckle closest to the toes on its tightest setting and having to punch an extra hole in the one over the instep. Without these adjustments the shoes just fell off.
